In a previous article, I talked about the importance of marketing in your business. I talked about how you need to market your writing and your business so you can make money.
You can read more about it here:
Why Online Marketing Is So Important!
Implementing marketing is a smart business move.
In this article, I will share with you different marketing methods that you can use that won’t cost any money. They aren’t the only ones that you can do for free. But it will get you off to a good start.
Email Marketing
Email Marketing is an important part of marketing your business. But to do this you will have to build an email list. When you build a list you can build it free. It will take a little longer but it can be done.
When you have a list you own it. You will have it for life. No one can take it away from you. You can make money from your list anytime you want. All you need to do is send an email with an ad for one of your products or affiliate links.
Facebook groups
Join Facebook groups in your niche and write your posts. Be sure when you do read the group’s rules and follow them. Do not spam them. Be respectful to your group and the members.
Social Media Posting
Post on your social media timeline. Share your content with your followers. They are your followers because they like you and believe in you. Don’t share the same type of posts all of the time.
Mix it up some. There are many different types of posts you can make on social media. If you’re wondering what types of content you can share check it out in this article.
Youtube videos
If you like making videos, YouTube is a good place to do some advertising. You can create vlogs and all kinds of informative videos. You can review your products or affiliate products to sell them.
Word of mouth
Word-of-mouth advertising is contagious. It can go viral really fast. This is one of the best advertising methods that you can take advantage of. when you sell a product or someone loves your writing ask them to share it with their friends and family. But be careful because this can go the wrong way too. People who didn’t like your service or product have no problem sharing their experiences with their friends and family.
giveaways
Host giveaways with your potential customers and clients. You can post these giveaways all over social media, YouTube, your groups, and even in your emails. Try hosting them on your website and other places where you can guest post and guest host. People love free stuff and when you give them free stuff you develop trust and fellowship. When you have developed this then they are more likely to buy from you.
Develop SEO
When writing blog posts and ad copy use SEO to get them to rank in Google and other search engines. This helps to get you more visibility when people search for certain keywords. This can be just as good if not better than buying paid ads.
Network
Networking can be done with the word-of-mouth plan. When you network with others in your business then you can give each other word-of-mouth advertising. You can share with others in your network your abilities, services, and products. Then the intern share theirs with you and you all share with others outside the network.
See this I have shown you several ways to market your writing and your business for free. As I said before there are a lot more ways you can do this. But this will get you started in your marketing.
